Thursday, November 5, 1868 – “I was into Johnsons Woolen Factory.”

It has been cloudy and wet today. I was over to the Butend this afternoon. I was into Johnsons Woolen Factory. O. Dickson was here making cider to day. It is raining to night. Ann came home to night. Only one native Californian, born of American parents, was old enough to vote on Tuesday. A French lady of fourteen recently suicided because a boil on her nose disfigured her appearance. Brushland. 1868
